Telegram Trading Bot Security Checklist — 12 Things to Verify Before You Deposit
Twelve questions. Ask them before the deposit, not after the rug.
A security checklist for choosing a Telegram trading bot: wallet custody, contract scanning, liquidity-lock proof, Uniswap V4 hook inspection, sell-blocking policies, phishing defense and infrastructure transparency.
Telegram trading bots hold keys and fire transactions with one tap. That convenience is exactly why security discipline decides who survives. Print this checklist and grade any bot against it — including ours (we publish our answers in the technical documentation).
Wallet & custody
- Where do the keys live? Expect envelope-encrypted storage, staff access impossible, withdrawal any time. "Trust us" is not an answer — custody docs should exist.
- Can the bot see your seed phrase? It should never ask for one. Any "support agent" requesting your seed is a scammer, full stop.
- Can you export or empty the wallet yourself? If not, you don't have a wallet; you have a claim.
Trade protection
- Contract analysis before auto-buy: mint/freeze/blacklist authorities, proxy upgradeability, hidden transfer logic.
- Liquidity-lock proof from contract state, not event logs (events can be forged to fool indexers — details).
- Snipe/insider concentration scoring from creation-block forensics.
- Uniswap V4 hook inspection on V4 chains — the trap moved to the hook; scanners must follow (hook scanner docs).
- Transaction simulation before broadcast — reverts treated as failures, not warnings.
Exit & policy integrity
- Are sells ever blocked by the scanner? The only correct answer is never. Protection at entry must not imprison exits (sell engine).
- Degraded states: when an RPC or scanner layer fails, does the bot say "degraded" or silently reuse a stale verdict? Stale "safe" is how bots buy rugs.
- Kill switches: can automation be halted per lane without a redeploy?
Platform integrity
- Public technical documentation. A bot that won't describe its execution flow, custody model and safety layers in public should not hold your funds. Start at loxleyai.tech/docs for the reference standard.
And the two rules no bot can follow for you
Never share your seed phrase. Size positions so a rug is a lesson, not a life event. No bot removes market risk; not financial advice.
